I've been hunting mule deer in the Wyoming backcountry for 22 years and have owned glass at every price point. The Apex HD 10x42s are the sharpest, brightest binos I've put to my eyes under $1,000. Glass is outstanding at dawn and dusk, the focus wheel is smooth and precise, and they hold up to rough pack-in conditions. Glassed a 190" buck at 900 yards in fading light. These delivered. Absolutely worth every penny.

After 400+ rounds through it from 600–1,200 yards, I can tell you: zero drift is essentially non-existent, tracking is repeatable and precise, and the glass clarity is comparable to scopes costing $2,500+. The FFP reticle works flawlessly across the magnification range. I put this on my elk hunting rifle and absolutely hammered a 5x5 at 540 yards first shot. Highly recommend.

Solo elk hunt in the Frank Church Wilderness. 12 days, temperatures from 65°F down to 18°F, heavy rain and two inches of snow. The Merino base layer performed perfectly across all conditions — regulated temperature, wicked moisture, and never once got that clammy wet-synthetic feeling. And yes, I wore it every single day for 12 days. Merino's odor resistance is the real deal. Best base layer I've ever used in 15 years of backcountry hunting.

Angle-compensated readings out to 1,400+ yards on deer-sized targets. The display is bright and easy to read in harsh sunlight, which is huge for Arizona hunting. Dropped it off a 6-foot cliff onto rock during a pack-out — not a scratch, still reads perfectly. Battery life is exceptional. This rangefinder does everything I need at a price that doesn't require a second mortgage. TerraVault's customer service was also excellent — they followed up after my purchase to make sure I was happy.

Really solid survival kit that covers all the essentials without including cheap filler items you'd never use. Fire starting gear is quality, the first aid components are actually useful, and the emergency shelter is bomber. I upgraded the knife since I already have a preference there, but everything else stays in my truck permanently. Knocked one star only because the bag itself could be more durable — but the contents are excellent. Great value at this price.

Bought these for offshore fishing and they've earned a permanent spot in my boat bag. Polarization is excellent — I can see structure through the water that I couldn't make out with my old pair. Frame is comfortable for all-day wear and hasn't loosened up after months of saltwater exposure. The case that comes with them is genuinely well-made too, not an afterthought.

Picked these up on the 20% off sale and honestly would have paid full price. Coming from a much cheaper pair, the difference in clarity and light gathering at dusk is night and day. Glassed antelope across a canyon at first light without any eye strain. Build quality feels solid — rubber armor is thick and the focus wheel has just the right resistance.

Image quality and detection speed are excellent — night photos are sharp and I haven't missed a single animal walking through the frame. Only knock is the companion app for managing settings can be a little clunky and occasionally drops the Bluetooth connection during setup. Camera itself has been rock solid through a wet Montana summer.

Truck broke down 14 miles up a forest service road with no cell signal. The kit's emergency shelter and fire-starting gear made an uncomfortable overnight actually manageable. Everything was exactly where I expected it to be, packed logically, and the components all worked as advertised on the first try — not always a given with kits like this. Bought a second one for my wife's vehicle immediately after.

Alaska cold isn't forgiving and most base layers I've tried get clammy within a few hours of hard work. This one breathes properly during exertion and still keeps you warm sitting still glassing a hillside. Sizing runs true. Already ordered a second set so I always have a dry one available between hunts.

Switches seamlessly between bow mode and rifle mode, which is exactly what I needed since I hunt both seasons with the same unit. Angle compensation reads true every time I've checked it against known distances. Compact enough to keep on a chest harness without it being a hassle. No complaints after a full season of use.
